The Advertising and Marketing Communications Management program gave me all the tools, confidence, and professional skills I needed to be successful in my field. This could be said about numerous post-secondary programs; however, what makes this program different is the coordinators' dedication to having the most up-to-date curriculum available. This is an invaluable trait to (1) have throughout the entirety of the learning process and (2) have instilled in yourself as a business professional. The St. Clair Advertising program is so integrated in all aspects of advertising, from creative to, strategy, media planning, social, web, data and more. I am currently working in Data Science at Publicis Media, during my interviews I was asked to describe the program, I specifically remember explaining how each of my classes all tied together. This program prepares you by teaching you every aspect of the industry and how each department goes hand in hand with one another. On top of the classes, the program gives you the opportunity to work with real clients. The professors of the program themselves started an agency to give students a chance to gain real world experience with real clients. Being able to have experience working with real clients gave me the upper hand and confidence during the interview process once I graduated, as well as gave me the opportunity to expand my resume that was almost blank before I started the program.

In high school, I was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program. The majority of my teachers suggested that I should go into a program at the University because it was the right and common path for students who were enrolled in this program. However, I decided to enroll in the Advertising and Marketing Communications Management program at St.Clair College instead. Choosing this program was the smartest decision I ever made and it was much better than I thought it would be. This program was challenging, but it always made me think out of the box and it taught me so much more than just marketing. It provided me with the knowledge and practical experience to work in the industry.

The Advertising program at St. Clair College is the real deal. You will be taught by professors who are genuinely experienced in their field. They know what they're doing and they know how to teach it. They actually care about their students and their success, unlike other schools which make you feel like you are just another student number. During my time in the program, I always felt that I had something valuable to learn everyday about the industry. Experienced Professors
Faculty professors are some of the the best in the business! Every full time professor has at least 15 years of industry experience and has worked at the highest levels in their respective fields. One of the main reasons why our students enjoy such as a high employment rate and the program has such a great reputation is because of the professors in the program. We don’t want to brag but we will! We teach here to provide our students with the education and the EDGE they need to begin a GREAT career right after graduation!
4-Week Internship
The internship portion of the curriculum sets our program apart. We work with the students to place them in companies in their field for a four-week period. It is here where the students get hands-on real world experience and start to make contacts. Every graduating student will take part in a four week internship program. The best part – many of our students get hired by the company they interned for!
Learn Digital
We offer more digital marketing courses than any other school in the province! The Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada calls ours “the most up-to-date curriculum of any of the Ontario advertising schools.” You will take FULL SEMESTER COURSES (not just classes) on social media marketing, mobile marketing, digital content development and more!
